Verification, Check or Search VAT TIN Number of Dealer on All India Basis

Government of India has provided the system for verification, check or search the VAT TIN number of any dealer of any state in India for free also person can check the dealers state or origin of VAT/CST Bill based on first 2 digit of TIN Number . And all this has been possible because of Initiative of Empowered Committee of State Finance Ministers and starting of Tax Information Exchange System (TINXSYS). Tax Information Exchange System (TINXSYS) is a centralized exchange of all interstate dealers spread across various States and Union territories of India. TINXSYS will help the Commercial Tax Departments of various States and Union Territories to effectively monitor the interstate trade.

TINXSYS can be used by any dealer to verify the counter party dealer in any other State. Apart from dealer verification Commercial Tax Department officials will use TINXSYS for verification of central Statutory Forms issued by other State Commercial Tax Departments and submitted to them by the dealers in support of claim for concessions.

Now dealers doing business with VAT dealer registered outside his state can verify the TIN based details of Dealer before doing any transaction with that dealer.

Every Dealer who is doing any sales &  purchase with other dealers can check the following details using the TIN Number of other party:

TIN VAT Number

CST Number

Dealer Name

Dealer Address

State Name

PAN Number of Dealer

Date of Registration under CST Act

Dealer Registration Status under CST Act.

Record is Valid as on: DD/MM/YY

State Wise TIN Codes ( First  2 Digit of Each State has been fixed )
