Ministry of Corporate Affairs through general circular No 17 dated 30th June 2014 has extended the date of filing of Form DPT-4 upto 31st August 2014. As per section 74(1)(a) rule 20 of the Companies(Acceptance of Deposits)Rule 2014, companies has to file statement of deposits existing as on date of commencement of the Act with in period of 3 months from such commencement. But after considering the problems faced by the companies and pending draft notification related to exemption to private limited companies issued by MCA for public comment till 1st July 2014 date of filing statement of deposit has been extended till 31/08/2014 without any payment of additional fees with ROC.
