CHECK GST REGISTRATION STATUS OF YOUR FIRM

Now new facility has been activated on GST portal for checking GST registration status and in current scenario checking the GST migration status from VAT, Service Tax and Excise. So all the existing dealers can check their GST migration status using registration number, Provisional ID or PAN Number of the firm. Please note that PAN for proprietorship firm will be same as PAN of Proprietor. Even Provisional id under GST is mix of State Code, PAN number and Check Digit. Existing VAT, Service Tax & Central Excise dealers can track the GST registration number. For the current and new GST registrants, GST number will be based on their PAN Number with First two digit will be the state code, then next 10 digit will be PAN of the entity and next digit will show no of registration for that PAN number and next will be “Z” and Last digit will be check sum digit. For Example 06ABCFD1234M1Z5 (06 for Haryana, ABCPD1234M (PAN Number of Firm), 1 single registration for that firm, Z, 5 Check sum digit).

Process of Checking GST Registration Status

First Select the State for which GST Migration/Registration applied for 

Select the ID Type from 

• Registration Number
• Provisional GST ID (GST NUMBER)
• PAN Number of Applicant Firm/Individual/Company/Trust

Fill the the Registration Number/ Provisional GST ID/ PAN Number
