Who are Eligible for Aadhaar card

Every citizen of India is eligible to have an Aadhaar card either child or adult. If the age of a child is below three years then his parents will give the bio-metric specification on behalf of the child for obtaining an Aadhaar card. Aadhaar card is a biometric card which can be made by UIDAI (Unique identification authority of India) on behalf of Indian Government. Aadhaar card is a unique identity card which has been implementing by the government of India for all the citizens of  India. The main aim of the development of the Aadhaar card is to reduce the culture of the fake identity cards which can be used by lot of people in India and also reduce redundancy.

For obtaining or for registration of Aadhaar card proper procedure has been followed with the physical presence for the bio-metrics details, like picture of eye retina and figure print of both hand figure.

Eligibility

1. Every citizen of India is eligible to have an Aadhaar card. If the age of a child is below three years then his parents will give the bio-metric specification on behalf of the child for obtaining an Aadhaar card of the child. Once the child attain the age of 5 years then he will be liable to give his bio-metric specification. After attaining the age of 15 years same details will be taken as the bio-metrics changes with the age.

2. Indian citizen who stay outside the country or live in the abroad are also liable to have this card as a proof of identity.

3. A foreigner residing in India can also obtain the Aadhaar card as it does not grant any kind of citizenship.

Any educational qualification is not required. If you are residing in India that gives you the license to take the Aadhaar card.The main idea behind providing the Aadhaar card is to provide identity to every citizen who residing in India. Aadhaar card is an advantage for both citizens and government. Now Aadhar card is sufficient to prove our identity, we don’t need to carry any other document and Government can keep the record of every citizen through 12-digit unique number mentioned on the Aadhaar card.
